I’m always cosplaying a director of a romcom, with you two as my lead actors 🤠 I always want my photos to have a cinematic and film-y feel!

Playful Photography

As much as I’m always going to be posing you two and directing every step of the way for portraits as a  wedding photographer in San Luis Obispo, I do so in a way that gets you guys interacting and having fun together to create real emotion. 

I’ll have you two chasing each other, sprinting down the beach, dancing together, dipping, spinning and kissing. The more you have fun with it and let loose the more emotion I capture! I love how my clients always enjoy the process of creating photos together, it really does feel like we’re living in a real life rom com movie. 

I’m not the type of wedding and elopement photographer that is aiming to capture my couples at their most raw and authentic, to me, a photoshoot by nature isn’t raw and authentic. What I’m trying to capture is the essence of your guys' relationship, and I wanna do it in the most creative and beautiful way!

And it’s my job to be directing all of this, I’ll never leave it up to you guys to figure out how to pose! Directing is my favorite part!! 

Editorial Wedding Photography

Mixing in some editorial photos is my new thinggggg.

As a wedding photographer in San Luis Obispo, I've loved adding in more serious/ posed photos. 

I always work off of your guys vibe, if you're giving me more editorial/ modely/ serious/ energy, you’ll get more editorial photos, if you’re giving me more bubbly/ smiley/ laughy/ energy you’ll get more playful photos!

Another thing that makes me lean into more editorial photos is the style of your guys outfits and the wedding! 

Creativity in Wedding Photography

I’ve never pushed myself creatively as much as I have in the last six months. I took around 2 years off from full time wedding photography and I knew that if I came back, I wanted to create my dream images, and really push myself. It’s been hard, actually way more uncomfortable than I was imagining but I am so beyond obsessed with the art I’m creating now!

As your wedding photographer in San Luis Obispo, I loveee playing with perspectives and angels. I will be laying on the floor underneath you two, standing on a bridge above you OR having you two lay down so I can get a birds eyes view!

I hate boring photos, I want them to be creative. Having work that feels interesting is everything to me. I never thought the word interesting was a huge compliment until now haha, that’s the best thing I could feel about my work!

Cinematic Wedding Photography

You know how every romcom has the montage of the couple doing cute stuff together and falling in love? That's the vibe I’m after!!

As your wedding photographer in San Luis Obispo, I’m creating with you two to make art that feels like a movie!! I’ve loved doing more poses with separation between my couples, you see so much of that in movies! One person out ahead of the other or sitting to the side of each other!

The Art of Directing

If you’re looking for a wedding photographer in San Luis Obispo who is going to let you two do your own thing for posing and just sit back and capture it, RUN! That’s not me, haha. I’m going to be screaming from behind my camera, on an energy high from creating!! I’ll be directing you two, and non stop encouraging you guys and telling you how obsessed I am! 

I’m hype girl #1 when behind the camera!! While most of the wedding day I’ll be more laid back, with happy positive energy, during portraits I’ll be all of that but also bursting with excited energy, screaming OH MY GOD I LOVE THAT, SPIN AROUND ONE MORE TIME!!!

I get in a flow state and work off the vibe you two are giving me and the surroundings! Sometimes I’ll have a pose in mind and then I’ll see you move your hair a certain way and inspiration will hit and I’ll have you keep playing with your hair! 

Another thing about me as a  wedding photographer in San Luis Obispo, is I’m also a hairographer, lol!! How your hair is laying is so huge to me, same goes for dress! If you’re hair is flowing behind you it makes such a huge difference in the photo vs is being stuck behind your partner's arm, ya know??
